The story of the Wise Men following a special star is recorded in Matthew 2. These men regularly studied the heavens, so when this special star appeared in the night sky, they were eager to learn its meaning. By studying prophecy (Numbers 24:17), they learned this heavenly light heralded the coming King, and by following the star they found the Savior of the world. In Daniel 12:3, we read, “Those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the firmament, and those who turn many to righteousness like the stars forever and ever” (NKJV). Despite his refusal to carry or use a weapon due to his religious beliefs, Doss served as a medic in the United States Army and became one of the most celebrated war heroes. In the heart of Africa lives a six-year-old girl named TMI. She is named after Total Member Involvement, an initiative of the Seventh-day Adventist Church that encourages every member to get involved in sharing Jesus with someone else. The child was born just as TMI evangelism was sweeping her home country of Burundi. Her parents were delighted to see the results of TMI, and so decided to name their daughter TMI, so she could be a witness for Jesus from birth. As she grew older, TMI decided to use her beautiful voice to share her love for Jesus. As a result, many people are learning about God and now attend the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
